The Swinging Bass Band has played a concert of Frank Sinatra, swing music and entertaining jazz at the Charles Booth Centre, (formerly Thringstone Community Centre), Thringstone, Leicestershire. It was a fantastic night! The band and the audience both enjoyed the evening. Then, the audience only let the band leave the stage after an encore!
The Swinging Bass Band has been booked to play in the concert room at The Charles Booth Centre, Thringstone, Leicestershire (formerly known as Thringstone Community Centre) on Saturday 28th April. The Swinging Bass Band has played in Brinton Park, Kidderminster as part of the Summer Bands in the Park Series for Wyre Forest District Council.
We played lots of Sinatra, Nat King Cole, Jazz and Swing Music. A really enjoyable afternoon!

It’s great that The Swinging Bass Band will be back again at Ansty Hall, Warwickshire, and so close to Coventry, to play for a wedding.
Featuring the some of the best Rat Pack, swing music, jazz and pop covers. On hand will be our vocalist Roy Forbes to work his magic and some of the best musicians from across the Midlands.

We had a fantastic night at University College Birmingham recently! The students hosted a Swing Night with a superb meal. First the trio played background music during the dinner – and to great reception!
Later the 5-piece swing band played songs from Frank Sinatra, Michael Bublé and Swing Classics. The audience loved it and danced from the first number. It was quite a night and the reaction to New York, New York, then I’m The King of the Swingers was amazing!!!
We were asked to play “Cantina Band” from Star Wars for the Bride Groom who is a big Star Wars fan. The reaction to this was truly amazing – we must have had a room full of Star Wars fans! They loved our mix of Sinatra, Michael Bublé and swing classics too. It was an afternoon to remember!
The Swinging Bass Band and trio are to play at a great function at University College, Birmingham, in March. We will play quiet background music during the meal and drinks, then the 5-piece band will play our successful mix of Michael Bublé, Sinatra and Pop Covers.
