The Three Double Basses at the Regent Club, Leicester, Tuesday 24th April


Don’t miss it! After a great night last summer The Three Double Basses (Andy Kirkland, Geoff Cook & Paula Robinson) have been invited back. They will be each be playing short sets of small group jazz with a trio.

Finally they will together play three arrangements that Geoff has written for all three Double Basses together.

It will be a night with something for every one. Many styles of jazz, and a chance to see what the Double Bass can do!

Its at the Regent Sports and Social Club, 102 Regent Road, Leicester LE1 7DA, at 8pm on Tuesday 24th April 2012. £3-5

The Three Double Basses return to the Regent Club, Leicester

On Tuesday April 24th 2012 The Three Double Basses, Andy Kirkland, Geoff Cook and Paula Robinson, have been invited back to play another evening at the Regent Sports & Social Club, 102 Regent Road, Leicester, LE1 7DA.

They last played there in June 2011 to a full house. Each Double Bass played for 20 minutes accompanied by the house band, and a few guests, in each half of the evening. Finally, they played arrangements which Geoff had written for 3 double basses of Duke Ellington compositions.

The house band this time will also comprise Peter Houtman (keyboard), Richard Everitt (sax) and Andrew Sime (drums).

Andy leads The Swinging Bass Band which plays at weddings, family events and corporate functions.
