We had a fantastic night at University College Birmingham recently! The students hosted a Swing Night with a superb meal. First the trio played background music during the dinner – and to great reception!
Later the 5-piece swing band played songs from Frank Sinatra, Michael Bublé and Swing Classics. The audience loved it and danced from the first number. It was quite a night and the reaction to New York, New York, then I’m The King of the Swingers was amazing!!!
We were asked to play “Cantina Band” from Star Wars for the Bride Groom who is a big Star Wars fan. The reaction to this was truly amazing – we must have had a room full of Star Wars fans! They loved our mix of Sinatra, Michael Bublé and swing classics too. It was an afternoon to remember!
The Swinging Bass Band and trio are to play at a great function at University College, Birmingham, in March. We will play quiet background music during the meal and drinks, then the 5-piece band will play our successful mix of Michael Bublé, Sinatra and Pop Covers.
Looking forward to a great night!!
The Swinging Bass Band has been booked to play at a wedding in Arthingworth, Northamptonshire in June 2014. We have played at about 300 weddings but this is the first time in Arthingworth – looking forward to it!
We will be playing some favourite swing titles and others by Michael Bublé, and Frank Sinatra and some Pop Covers.
The ceremony will take place in Arthingworth Church and the reception will be nearby.
