Summer Soiree – An Evening of Elegance and Entertainment in Wightwick’s Gardens
Enjoy a summer’s evening with music, drinks, canapes and games in Wightwick Manor’s beautiful Arts and Crafts Gardens,
A classic British offer of Pimms and strawberries, croquet and bowls on the Terrace, accompanied by uplifting Swing music.

The Swinging Bass Trio has played at Croft Castle

The Swinging Bass Trio has recently played at the National Trust’s Croft Castle as a part of their 1940′s weekend of music.
It was a superb afternoon and the visitors really enjoyed the period music.

The Swinging Bass Trio (sax, keyboard & double bass) will be playing at the National Trust’s Croft Castle, Herefordshire, as a part of their Forties Music weekend on Saturday 22nd June.
Step back in time to the 1940s and expect lots of great music from that period.
Booking is not needed and normal admission prices will apply, but its free to National Trust members!

The Trio from The Swinging Bass Band has played in Northamptonshire at a surprise 60th Birthday party lunch. Close family and friends were invited to this wonderful early summer party.
The trio played, as requested, a selection of French songs and a mix of Sinatra-style standards, bossa novas and ballads.

Over the summer period The Swinging Bass Band will be regularly playing at the National Trust’s Wightwick Manor over the summer.
The 5-piece band will their first date on
Saturday 13th July (6-8.60pm), then
Friday 9th August (6-8.30pm),

Sunday 22nd September (midday-3.00pm).

In the autumn The Swinging Bass Trio played at The Manor Hotel Meriden, Solihull for a Rotary Club. The trio played background music during a Rotary Club dinner and then a selection of music from the 1920′s.

The Swinging Bass Trio from the larger band has played at the Crowne Plaza Hotel, Solihull for a Rotary Club Dinner.
The trio played quiet background music and after the dinner we played more up tempo music. The guests really enjoyed the music and were full of praise.

2018 HIGHLIGHT! A Summer afternoon at Stourport on Severn Riverside Meadows.

The Swinging Bass Band played their mix of Frank Sinatra, Michael Bublé and Swinging Jazz at Stourport on Severn Riverside Meadows. This was part of the series of outdoor Summer Concerts.
Its a beautiful park, close to the town and near the river. Was great, too, to be back there after a few years

The Swinging Bass Trio from the larger Swinging Bass Band, has played at the Crowne Plaza Hotel, Solihull, for a Rotary Club Dinner.
The trio played quiet background music and after the dinner we played more up tempo music. The guests really enjoyed the music, were full of praise and invited the trio back!

The Swinging Bass Band at Hoby’s Armistice Commemoration.

The trio from The Swinging Bass Band has played at a commemoration of the 1918 Armistice at Hoby Village Hall, Leicestershire.
The Leicestershire village organised the event very well and there were 85 guests.

We played lots of First World War songs and were joined by two fantastic local singers. We ended with “There Will Always Be An England” and “Land Of Hope And Glory” with the guests joining in and waving Union Jack flags.
It was a fantastic afternoon!!

The Swinging Bass Trio to play on Remembrance Sunday, in Hoby Leicestershire, commemorating the end of the First World War. The event is organised by the Hoby and District Local History Society.
We will play background music, including some songs from the era, for the society during lunch and the afternoon.
