The Swinging Bass Band has played a concert of Frank Sinatra, swing music and some entertaining jazz at the Charles Booth Centre, (formerly Thringstone Community Centre), Thringstone, Leicestershire.
It was a fantastic night! The band and the audience both enjoyed the evening. Then, the audience only let the band leave the stage after an encore or two!

The Swinging Bass Trio from the larger Swinging Bass Band, has played at the Crowne Plaza Hotel, Solihull, for a Rotary Club Dinner.
The trio played quiet background music and after the dinner we played more up tempo music. The guests really enjoyed the music, were full of praise and have invited the trio back!.

The Swinging Bass Band has been booked to play in the concert room at The Charles Booth Centre, Thringstone, Leicestershire (formerly known as Thringstone Community Centre) on Saturday 28th April. We will be there to play our mix of Sinatra and other great swinging songs. Looking forward to a great evening!

The Swinging Bass Band has played at De Montfort University, Leicester, for a social occasion. The quartet played quiet background music as the quests met and chatted.

2017 Highlight. The Swinging Bass Band at Lacock Abbey

The band has played at the Lacock Abbey, Wiltshire, for two summer parties – one for the volunteers and one for the village and parish. They were a lovely summer evenings.

2017 HIGHLIGHT! The Fabulous Fifties at Bletchley Park

What an amazing venue Bletchley Park is!
The Swinging Bass Band has played at Bletchley Park as a part of its Fabulous Fifties event. It was a gloriously sunny summer afternoon. The band played the 1950′s music of Nat King Cole, Frank Sinatra and some Rock & Roll.

2017 HIGHLIGHT! Jazz Evening at Upton House and Gardens

The Swinging Bass Band played at Upton House & Gardens NT for their Jazz Night. It was a fantastic turnout, and great to see all the dancing in the rain!
Of course we had to play “Here’s That Rainy Day” and “Singing In The Rain”!!

2017 Highlight! Outdoor Summer Concert at Brinton Park, Kidderminster

The Swinging Bass Band played in Brinton Park, Kidderminster as part of the Summer Bands in the Park Series of events.
We played lots of Sinatra, Nat King Cole, Jazz and Swing Music. A really enjoyable afternoon!
This was the last in our summer run of 8 performances at Upton House near Banbury, Bletchley Park near Milton Keynes, Lacock Abbey Wiltshire, and Packwood House near Solihull.

2017 Highlight! The Swinging Bass Trio played at the National Trust’s Packwood House, near Solihull.

The Swinging Bass Trio played at the National Trust’s Packwood House, near Solihull, in late July for a social evening thanking the volunteers for their time and contributions. The trio, saxophone, keyboard & double bass, played background music which was tuneful, allowing the guests to chat and enjoy the evening.

Highlight! The Swinging Bass Band at Upton House for the 1940′s Wedding Weekend

The Swinging Bass Band has played at the National Trust’s Upton House for their 1940′s Wedding Weekend.

Here is a video of the band playing “Everyday I Have The Blues”. What a fantastic weekend it was. The dancers, the audience and visitors to Upton House loved it!!

The Swinging Bass Trio (sax, keyboard & double bass) has been booked to play at a Rotary Club evening at the Crown Plaza Hotel, Solihull.

It was great to play at the National Trust’s Packwood House in the summer. A guest at that event has asked the trio to play for the Rotary Club evening.

The trio will play, as we always do, quiet background music allowing guests to meet, chat and enjoy the evening.

Looking forward to the evening!
