Great that some of The Swinging Bass Band are taking part in the Hollywood & Broadway Jazz Evening at Regent Jazz and helping raise funds for Bloodwise – Beating Blood Cancer.
The Swinging Bass Trio from the larger Swinging Bass Band, has played at the Crowne Plaza Hotel, Solihull, for a Rotary Club Dinner.
The trio played quiet background music and after the dinner we played more up tempo music. The guests really enjoyed the music, were full of praise and have invited the trio back!.
The Swinging Bass Band has been booked to play in the concert room at The Charles Booth Centre, Thringstone, Leicestershire (formerly known as Thringstone Community Centre) on Saturday 28th April. We will be there to play our mix of Sinatra and other great swinging songs. Looking forward to a great evening!

The Swinging Bass Trio played at the National Trust’s Packwood House, near Solihull, in late July for a social evening thanking the volunteers for their time and contributions. The trio, saxophone, keyboard & double bass, played background music which was tuneful, allowing the guests to chat and enjoy the evening.
The Swinging Bass Quartet has played at the Mill Arts centre, Banbury, for a 30th Wedding Anniversary. It was a fantastic event, the room was decorated, the guests were well catered for and in the party mood.
We played background music while the chatted and enjoyed the buffet, then the band stepped up a gear, the guests came onto the floor and we saw some fantastic dancing!
The Swinging Bass Band (www.TheSwingingBass.co.uk) has played at a fantastic 80th Birthday Party with about 130 invited guests at Hogarths Stone Manor Hotel, Kidderminster.
The band played a mix of Sinatra, swing music and some pop covers.
It was great to play at the National Trust’s Packwood House in the summer. A guest at that event has asked the trio to play for the Rotary Club evening.
The trio will play, as we always do, quiet background music allowing guests to meet, chat and enjoy the evening.

The Swinging Bass Band has played in Brinton Park, Kidderminster as part of the Summer Bands in the Park Series for Wyre Forest District Council.
We played lots of Sinatra, Nat King Cole, Jazz and Swing Music. A really enjoyable afternoon!
This was the last in our summer run of 8 performances at some great venues – Upton House near Banbury, Bletchley Park near Milton Keynes, Lacock Abbey Wiltshire, and Packwood House near Solihull.
There have been two amazing Summer Parties at Lacock Abbey that The Swinging Bass Band has recently played at. One was for the National Trust Volunteers and the other for the village and parish. We played a mix of jazz & swing, with Sinatra & Nat King Cole hits.
The weather was perfect, the sun was out, not a drop of rain, and great to see so many people there!
